EXPERIENCE CAMP KEF

Monday, June 22 - Friday, August 14, 2026
No camp: Friday, July 3

Camp Kef at the Kaiserman JCC is a vibrant Jewish day camp in Wynnewood, PA, where children grow, explore, and belong—summer after summer. Our camp is designed to meet campers where they are developmentally, while surrounding them with joy, structure, and meaningful relationships.

At Camp Kef, children gain confidence, build skills, develop lasting friendships, and create unforgettable summer memories in a safe, nurturing, and fun environment. Our programs evolve as campers grow, but the heart of Camp Kef stays the same: a strong sense of community, supportive staff, and days filled with curiosity, creativity, and play.

And yes—there’s a reason we’re called Kef. In Hebrew, kef means fun, and we take that seriously.

Our Values

Everything we do at Camp Kef is grounded in a shared set of values that shape daily camp life:

Kindness (Chesed)- We treat each other with respect and help each other out. We give back to the community and help to take care of the places we call home. Kindness makes Camp Kef a place where everyone feels safe and happy.

Community (Kehillah) - At camp we welcome all individuals and make new friends. We are inclusive and treat others how we want to be treated. Together we make Camp kef feel like a second home.

Curiosity (Sakranut) - Camp is a safe place for an adventure. We encourage campers and each other to explore, try new things, and discover new passions.

Spirit (Ruach) - Camp Kef is full of spirit. We cheer each other on, celebrate our uniqueness, and bring positive energy and good sportsmanship every day.

Our Mission

Camp Kef embraces all campers, and fosters friendships, growth, and lasting memories in a community of Kindness (chesed) and Spirit (ruach).

Why Camp Kef

Choosing a summer camp is about more than filling weeks—it’s about finding a place where your child feels safe, supported, and excited to show up each day.

At Camp Kef, we create a summer experience that blends joy, structure, and growth. Campers are known by name, encouraged to explore, and supported as they build confidence, friendships, and independence.

One Camp That Grows With Your Child

From infants and toddlers through teens, Camp Kef is designed as a single camp journey. Campers move through age-based units as they grow, building on familiar routines, traditions, and relationships. While activities evolve and independence increases, the values and community stay consistent, giving families a sense of continuity year after year.

People Make the Difference

Great camps are built on great people. Our counselors, specialists, and leadership team are carefully selected, trained, and supported throughout the summer. Campers are guided by staff who are energetic, attentive, and deeply invested in creating a positive experience for every child.Unit Heads oversee each age group, ensuring consistency, communication, and care—so families always know there’s someone focused on their child’s experience.

A Balance of Structure and Choice

Camp Kef is thoughtfully structured, with clear routines and caring supervision—especially important for younger campers. As children grow, they’re gradually given more opportunities to choose activities, explore interests, and take on leadership roles. This balance helps campers feel confident and capable, without ever feeling overwhelmed. While Camp Kef offers a wide range of sports, arts, swimming, and specialty programming, what truly sets us apart is how those experiences are delivered.

Campers are encouraged to:

  • Try new things without pressure

  • Build friendships through shared experiences

  • Learn from challenges and celebrate progress

  • Feel proud of who they are and how they grow

Camp traditions, special events, and Jewish culture programming help create moments of connection that stay with campers long after summer ends.

A Community That Welcomes Everyone

Camp Kef is committed to creating an inclusive environment where all campers feel they belong.Through our inclusion program and thoughtful staff training, we support a wide range of backgrounds, needs and learning styles. Families are partners in this process, and we work closely together to ensure each camper has the best possible experience.

A Place Kids Want to Come Back To

Ask families why they choose Camp Kef year after year, and you’ll hear the same things: their kids feel happy here, connected here, and excited to return.

Health & Safety

Camp Kef maintains a camp nurse on site each day to manage medications, respond to injuries, and support campers’ health needs. Our staff is trained to follow clear health and safety protocols, ensuring campers are cared for promptly and appropriately.

All of our staff are background checked and cleared to work around children. During staff training, our entire team is trained in:

  • Age-appropriate supervision and behavior management skills

  • Child-centered engagement techniques

  • Safety and security protocols for our campus

In addition, Camp Kef partners with a daily security team, providing an added layer of supervision and protection throughout the camp day. Our campus procedures are designed to create a secure environment while allowing camp to remain welcoming, joyful, and engaging.

From arrival to pickup, Camp Kef is committed to creating a space where families feel confident and campers feel safe to explore, play, and grow.

Food and snack

Camp Kef is a dairy kosher, peanut/tree-nut aware camp, helping ensure a safe and inclusive environment for all campers. Healthy snacks are provided by camp and served twice daily, keeping campers energized throughout the day.

Families may choose to pack a lunch, which will be safely refrigerated at camp, or purchase a kosher lunch option from Nana’s Kitchen, cooked fresh at camp each day.

On Fridays, campers enjoy a beloved Camp Kef tradition: hot dog or veggie dog day. Campers who prefer something different are always welcome to bring their own parve lunch.
