One of the most common questions families ask is simple: “What actually happens during the camp day?”
While every day brings something new, Camp Kef follows a thoughtful structure that balances activity, choice, and fun tailored to each age group.
Mornings: Energy, Exploration & Favorites
Camp days typically begin with group time in bunks, where campers connect with counselors and friends before heading into scheduled activities. Days start with line-up where campers of all ages come together for songs and cheers to start their day.
Depending on age, mornings may include:
Swim or instructional swim
Sports and games
Art and maker projects
STEM challenges
Music and movement
Jewish culture programming
Younger campers benefit from predictable routines, while older campers experience more variety and independence.
Afternoons: Choice and Camp-Wide Fun
For younger campers, the afternoon is a continutaiton of the morning as they try new activities and build on their skills. As campers get older, choice becomes a bigger part of the day in the afternoon.
Depending on age group, campers may participate in:
Majors: immersive specialty programming
Minors: short-term choice activities offered multiple times per week
Electives & Clubs: interest-based options for older campers
At Camp Kef, the goal isn’t to pack every minute — it’s to create a rhythm where campers feel excited, supported, and confident. Each day balances movement, creativity, friendship, and fun for a truly great summer.
